Bettany Hughes
Historian
Classical historian Bettany Hughes is perhaps one of British television’s best-known historical presenters, with a wide-ranging resume including The Greeks, Bacchus Uncovered, Britain’s Secret Homes, Helen of Troy and The Spartans. Bettany appeared in various episodes of Time Team throughout 2010 and 2011. She has authored several books, including the New York Times bestseller, The Hemlock Cup.
Bettany is an honorary fellow at Cardiff University, visiting research fellow at King’s College London and tutor at the Institute of Continuing Education, Cambridge. Bettany is also the sister of cricketer and journalist Simon Hughes and actor Peter Hughes.
