Community Archaeology Dig - Devon

Time Team headed to the West Country for a very special dig that placed the local community at its heart. Working closely with residents, volunteers, the primary school, and even the local scout troop, Time Team ventured into the lofts and gardens of Modbury, a South Devon community located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Over the traditional three days, Time Team aimed to trace the settlement’s history, from its Medieval origins and involvement in the English Civil War, up to its fascinating overseas connections. During the dig, Patreon were treated to daily ‘Dig Watch’ updates from the site. The completed episode will then be released worldwide in a three-part premiere on YouTube (release schedule to be announced).
