We're back... put the kettle on!

Tags: Time Team Teatime

After a short break for the summer, we're back with another series of jam-packed Teatime sessions.

Please join us for tonight's watch-along, Sunday 6th September at 6pm (BST). To kick off our return in style, we've lined up a classic show. In celebration of Time Team's 100th episode, the gang return to the subject of the very first episode: Athelney, the refuge of Alfred the Great.

This week, we're joined for tea by the wonderful Bernard Cornwell, creator of Sharpe and The Last Kingdom (Saxon Stories) series. We also catch up with Time Team regular Dr Sam Newton, who regales us with his harp playing and recital of Saxon verse. This is one not to be missed!

We'll be watching: 'Back to Our Roots, Athelney' (Episode 8, Series 10).

UK fans can find the episode on Channel 4's on-demand service by clicking here.

Once again, this will be followed by a special after-show event, at 7pm. Keep a look out for our great interviews coming up on YouTube.

We hope to see you there!
